Summary:
Manages the daily operations of the department to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days; This position will be shared between two affiliate locations, under UCHealth Radiology.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
- Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
- Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
- Registered as a Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- State licensure if required by law. Relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
The pay range for this position is: $47.57 - $76.11 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
