Nurse Manager - Clinical Express Admissions Department - Newark, Delaware
ChristianaCare seeks an experienced Nurse Manager (RN) to assume 24-hour accountability and responsibility for excellence in the clinical and operational practice of nursing and the delivery of care in the Clinical Express Admission Department at Christiana Hospital.
About the Unit:
The Clinical Express Admissions Department (CEAD) is a medical unit with telemetry, designed to decompress the Emergency Department after patients receive an admitting order. Patients may be admitted to the CEAD from Christiana Newark, Wilmington, and Middletown Emergency Departments. CEAD nurses are responsible for admission work and care progression until an available bed is ready on an inpatient unit.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- DE RN License or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- BSN Required.
- Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school preferred or commitment to obtain within 3 years of hire date.
- Five years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience.
- Nursing Professional certification in a related nursing specialty is required.
- Nurse Executive certification preferred.
