LOCATION SUMMARY:

Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. San Luis Obispo offers the excitement of a lively community while being a fifteen-minute drive from the serenity of Avila Beach, known for their natural hot springs, and Pismo Beach, known for their sand dunes and eucalyptus trees. POSITION SUMMARY:

This a union-based role represented by CNA. Provides nursing care, including triage, treatment and discharge care for the Emergency Department patients, from newborns to geriatrics.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate's degree or equivalent: Required
• Bachelor's degree: Preferred
•  One year minimum acute care experience: required
• Ability to assess and anticipate the needs of the Emergency department patient newborns to geriatrics: Required
• Ability to learn and use emergency equipment: Required

Licenses and Certifications:

• TNCC Certification within 6 months of hire or transfer into position: Required
• BLS: Required
• ACLS: Required
• PALS: Required
• California RN License: Required
