POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the Nuclear Imaging of the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient as ordered by the physician post administration of a radioactive material.    Positions and instructs the patient for Nuclear Medicine examinations, adjusts the imaging equipment, determines proper dosage and desired exposure time for each image following ALARA guidelines.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Work Experience:

• Must have met minimum requirements required for licensure by DHS: Required
• Understands radiology information systems utilization and operation: Required
• Computer literacy: Required
  

Licenses and Certifications:

• DHS Certified Technologist: Required
• Nuclear Medicine license to include Veni-puncture: Required 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association: Required
