Work Schedule
90% FTE salaried position (salary prorated based on FTE), weekdays, day shift. No weekends, no holidays. Hours are based off the operational needs of the department. We offer a competitive starting pay; relevant work experience will be considered. This position is hybrid, when onsite you will work at University Hospital located in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse – Clinical Research Specialist:
- Join a team of REMARKABLE staff in Clinical Research with UW Health, where experts seek to find better ways to prevent, diagnose and treat diseases and patients are often among the first in the world with access to promising new treatments.
- Facilitate the integration of complex clinical and research workflow discussions and guide decisions to support the safety of patients/participants and ensure research protocol fidelity is maintained for studies carried out on the Clinical Research Unit.
- Collaborate with Principal Investigators, Study Specialists and other interdisciplinary study team members, in addition to the Center for Clinical Knowledge Management (CCKM) staff, Information Services staff, Pharmaceutical Research Center (PRC) staff, and the physicians, nurses, and pharmacists who interact with research participants on the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) at UW Health.
- Serve as a liaison to the interdisciplinary research team and ancillary support departments/organizations to ensure Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Human Subjects Protections, clinical best practice, and adherence to applicable regulations and policies for all clinical research protocols carried out on the CRU.

- Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
- 2 years Relevant clinical research nursing experience Required
- Experience in an academic medical setting Preferred
- Project management experience Preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
- Clinical Research Certification Preferred
- CPR/BLS Certification Preferred
