Summary:
This position specializes in evaluating children and families in crisis and helping them adjust to acute and/or ongoing medical and/or psychiatric stressors. These services may include any of the following: diagnostic evaluations; consultations on the behavioral management of medically and psychiatrically ill children; individual; play and family therapy; case management and disposition planning as appropriate. This position also provides education and practical coping strategies for patients and families.

Responsibilities:
* Provide evaluation and treatment services to patients and families with complex psychosocial needs; provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
* Case management and disposition arrangements.
* Contribute to program development
* Maintain fiscal accountability and apply problem solving skills that demonstrate responsibility for generating allocated billable and/or patient contact hours.
* Contribute to the teaching mission of the hospital by working with trainees as co-therapists, and participating in didactics on topics of own expertise.

Essential:
* Masters Degree

Credentials:

* Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
* Licensed Marriage-Family Therapist
* Licensed Professional Counselor
* Ped Prev and Mgmnt Aggressive Behav
* Basic Life Support

Other information:
WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 1 year job related experience Req
* At least 3 years job related experience Pref

EDUCATION
* Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Req

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* State of Texas License at a Master's level (LPC, LMFT, LPT, or equivalent) Req
* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements 60 Days, Req
