Summary:
This position is to provide financial oversight that includes evaluating and collaborating initiatives and opportunities to improve efficiency of operations by increasing revenue, developing patient flow systems to maximize patient access to healthcare and improving process as needed. Provide additional leadership within the organization while serving in a strategic liaison role with external departments.

Responsibilities:
* Maintain day-to-day operational and financial aspects to optimize reimbursement, efficiency and effective services. Oversee and direct the activities related to pre-admission, registration, consents, authorizations, financial counseling; Assist activities related to customer service and billing.
* Liaison as a patient access / financial counseling subject matter expert to identify issues and optimize resolution within revenue cycle. Develop and maintain an effective relationship with Revenue Cycle partners, physicians and internal customers (clinics and departments).
* Develop, implement and / or recommend process improvement changes in department policies and procedures as appropriate and ongoing participation in hospital performance improvement projects. Conduct internal and external rounding for optimal outcomes.
* Perform Quality control for data related to denials / reduction of reimbursement; Collaborate with departments with results to increase revenue and decrease denials. Obtain and establish estimates for point of service collections. Quality and assurance of captured data in patient accounts. Measure productivity to track and trend needs for improvement. Identify and implement adjustments to established processes to increase revenue.
* Provide additional leadership within patient access / financial counseling to assist with training and development of programs to protect the hospital's fiscal visability. Select, train, orient and develop staff / departments. Develop standards of performance. Evaluate employee and department performance. Make recommendations for personnel actions. Manage activities of staff to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Ensure quality information is documented and obtained as required by policy. Design and implement family education.
* Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines, including federal and state funded government programs, activities related to HIPAA and EMTALA, Joint Commission, CMS and registration consents.
* Coordinate and negotiate with insurance companies, government agencies and other vendors to develop procedures to maximize reimbursements to Children's.
* Participate in the development of the annual operating budget; monitor expenditures and make adjustments as necessary.
* Attendance and participation to professional organization conferences and community outreach activities.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

You may be required to float occasionally to other Children's Health locations including Dallas, Plano and THD Clinics.(sStart time hours can be discussed during interviews)

EDUCATION
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Finance or Healthcare Management Pref
* High school diploma or equivalent Req

* CHAM Pref
