Diagnostic Imaging Team Lead
Department: Radiology
Location: Plano
Shift: Wed-Sat 4-10s 10am to 8:30p

Summary:
Responsible for organizing and directing the daily workflow. Create schedules, monitor image quality and equipment performance in the radiology department. Communicates with patients, parents, and medical staff regarding patient care issues and concerns. Will perform imaging approximately 30% of the time. This position reports to the Manager.
Responsibilities:
* The ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable and professional manner on the phone and in person and the demonstrated use of good written and verbal communication skills.
* Maintain staff compliance with ALARA, Image Gently, and state requirements for ionizing radiation standards
* Critical problem solving ability.
* The abilitiy to produce high quality diagnostic images.
* Assemble and deliver performance reviews
* Host monthly shift meetings and attend monthly lead meetings
* Performs Shielding audits and Tech QC reports
* Kronos Timekeeping
* The following are for CT only:
* A knowledge of advance CT imaging techniques including optimization of dual energy and vascular techniques with the ability to disseminate such knowledge
* A working knowledge of advanced processing including the ability to use common post processing software
* Initiate quality improvement projects in CT
* Perform and optimize scanning parameters for image quality
* Perform and educate staff in common CT post processing techniques

WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 4 years previous experience in one or more Radiology modalities (X-ray, CT, MRI, NM, etc) Req
* For CT only: Advanced training in CT and advanced processing techniques Pref
EDUCATION
* Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience Req
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) Req
* Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) Req
* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements Req
