Summary:
This position is responsible for performing imaging procedures according to established standards and procedures in areas when proficiency had been attained and verified. This position reports to the Team Lead or Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Perform imaging procedures and produce high quality diagnostic images; maintain consistent knowledge and skill levels to meet diagnostic evaluation expectations; complete documentation of all activities according to established criteria; and adhere to department / hospital policies, procedures and processes regarding quality improvement, safety, patient flow and other issues.
* Communicate and collaborate with other radiology staff and other departmental staff to facilitate optimum patient care; participate / cooperate with all other departmental / hospital processes and activities as appropriate.
* Participate in training programs to develop additional skills and / or enhance existing skills; obtain / maintain appropriate licensure and certification; participate in patient / student education as appropriate.
* Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Director or Medical Director.

WORK EXPERIENCE
* Minimum 6 months - 1 year of related experience Pref
* Previous experience in ultrasound Pref
EDUCATION
* Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience Req
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Pref
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements Req
* Current Ultrasound registry with ARDMS or ARRT Upon Hire Req
* Excluding Maternal Fetal Med: Employee hired after 1/27/22 must have one of the following certifications active within 1 year from hire date.
* Current Vascular Registry with:
* 1.RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) by ARDMS American Registry of Diagnostic Medical sonography OR
* 2.RT(VS) (Vascular Sonographer) by ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists OR
* 3.RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) by CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International
* 1 Year Req
* PS (Pediatric Sonography) by ARDMS Pref

* Has developed proficiency in a wide range of technical processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
* Understands the roles of all immediate team members and has a good understanding of how own team integrates with others
* Regularly provides guidance and support to more junior team members on challenging technical problems; helps them balance their workload and apply their technical skills
* Provides solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or occur infrequently based on defined procedures and existing precedents

* Works within defined processes but may develop an appropriate approach for new assignments
* Explains complex technical information in situations that may be challenging with respect to controversial subject matter or characteristics of the audience
