Description
Clinical Research Coordinator - Oncology (Plano Study Coordinator)
- Our Plano campus is looking for an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator who will play an important part in coordinating drug treatment research trials within the Hematology and Oncology teams, as well as observational studies. This CRC position spans three different disease-oriented teams: Leukemia, Solid tumors, and Biospecimens teams. You will serve as the Children's employee managing the coordination of all aspects of the assigned research project(s) at Children's in support of the Principal Investigator and Ensuring compliance with all Children's policies, state and federal regulations that govern clinical research including but not limited to study set-up, implementation, fiscal monitoring, data collection/entry, and patient care in bone marrow procedures.
- Additionally, assisting with non-research related/clinical related tasks such as hematology-diagnostic procedures; collaborating to confirm specimen requirements, lab coordination for add-on orders and questions, sending required paperwork, and performing supply inventory at Plano for your research team's needed office and lab supplies/kits.
- This is a full-time day position, 80 hours a pay period, working primarily on-site at our Plano campus with an option to work from home certain days which will be determined by the department. This position requires at least one year of direct related clinical research coordinator experience in drug treatment research trials and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
ABOUT THE JOB:
Summary:The Clinical Research Coordinator may coordinate device and drug treatment research trials, as well as observational studies conducted at Children's Medical Center, including but not limited to study set-up, implementation, fiscal monitoring, and data collection/entry. In the Trauma Services Department, may coordinate trauma and emergency services studies, including literature reviews, study development, and assist with data analysis. Usually serves as the Children's employee managing the coordination of all aspects of the assigned research project(s) at Children's in support of the Principal Investigator and ensuring compliance with all Children's policies, state and federal regulations that govern clinical research.
* At least 1 year related experience required
EDUCATION
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Req
* Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Pref
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* CCRP/CCRC certification through SoCRA / ACRP preferred
* In Respiratory: Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license, RRT registration through NBRC and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements. RRT-NPS through NBRC and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire required
* Registered Nurse license preferred
