Together, we're building the safest environment for giving and receiving care, where both patients and caregivers thrive.Who is Legacy Health? Good health for our people, our patients, our communities and our world — these are not just words. They are commitments that form the core of our mission, and we take them seriously. That mission matches a profound and serious footprint: Legacy Health is a locally owned nonprofit, six-hospital health system that also includes a full-service children’s hospital, a 24-hour mental and behavioral health services center, and more than 70 primary care, specialty and urgent care clinics, 14,000 employees and nearly 3,000 health care providers. We provide comprehensive health care services across the Portland and Vancouver metro area and mid-Willamette Valley and have the most five-star ratings for hospitals in the region. From rural areas to urban centers, we play a critical role in the lives of 2.5 million people. As one of the largest employers in the area, people trust Legacy with their health and livelihoods. That is why Forbes named Legacy one of the best large employers in America in 2023. That vote of trust also demands that we leave a positive mark on our community beyond the hallways of our hospitals and clinics. As a reflective and open-minded organization, we value the ideals of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) patient care across our system.

    About

Founded in 1824 as Fort Vancouver by the Hudson’s Bay Company, Vancouver is Washington State’s oldest city. It’s in the state's southwest region, just north of the Oregon state line, and connected to the Portland Metropolitan Area by two bridges crossing the Columbia River. Outdoorsy locals and visitors appreciate Vancouver’s many parks, including Esther Short Park. You also have access to the state's oldest town square, housing a community theater within an 1867 home, where a free movie and concert series takes place in July and August. At Old Apple Tree Park, visitors marvel at what's believed to be the oldest apple tree in the Pacific Northwest, planted in 1826. It's easy to stay active while enjoying the outdoors. The five-mile paved Waterfront Renaissance Trail runs from downtown east along the Columbia River to Wintler Community Park, which includes a beach area.
