Position Overview:
Creates a sterile area for the surgical procedures. Scrubs, dons, and removes gowns and gloves from self and physicians. Sets up sterile tables, assists with patient draping and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. Hands and receives instruments and supplies for case use. Assists with room clean up and setup of procedures. Assist with restocking of department.Additional Requirements:
EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Other: Certificate of completion from a recognized course of study highly recommended.
Other: On the job training.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
At least 2 years previous experience as an Operating Room Technician.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Anatomy and Physiology.
Sterilization techniques and practices.
Sterile and Aseptic technique.
Surgical instruments and supplies.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Prioritization skills.
Identification of problems, analyze and reach effective resolutions.

Pay Range is $43.04 to $53.50 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
