Performs a variety of duties related to stock level maintenance and patient/technologist assistance in all the areas of Imaging. Processing patient PHI requests.Provides support and training assistance as well as functioning in all aspects of position. Assists the Lead and Department in maintenance of equipment and QA/QC program(s) for meeting regulatory and accreditation and re-accreditation. Serves as department liaison.
Job Description:
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Organizes paper and film flow to insure efficient patient examination.
• Prepares radiographic file film folders with required patient and exam information
•Takes prepared jackets to correct physician at appropriate time. Hangs and removes films on alternators as requested.
• Assists clinicians in obtaining records, study reports, film.
Coordinates transport for patients to insure efficient operation of services. May provide transporting as needed.
• Escorts outpatients to dressing rooms or exam areas as needed.
• Transports in-patients to appropriate area of department using appropriate means of transportation.
• Returns patient back to room following exam and returns to bed as indicated.
Assists receptionist in scheduling as needed.
• Answers phones in a timely manner.
• Is able to operate computer system to generate charges and requests.
Assures adequate stock inventory levels by conducting inventories of stock on-hand. Communicates need for supplies as needed and requested.
• Conducts inventories of stock on hand to determine needs.
• Maintains adequate stock of film in film bins and properly stocks and rotates.
• Stocks dressing rooms with patient gowns.
Maintains a clean work environment. Assures equipment and work areas are clean.
• Removes dirty linen and patient gowns from dressing areas.
• Removes soiled equipment from exam rooms following procedures and cleans using appropriate techniques.
Prepares and stocks appropriate supplies and equipment prior to the start of each procedure.
• Prepares Barium for each day’s fluoro procedures.
• Restocks radiographic rooms with cassettes and other supplies.
Assists the Technologist and/or physician during examinations, using sterile technique as needed.
• Assists radiology technologist in lifting, holding and positions patients for procedures.
• Transports equipment to other parts of the hospital as needed and helps in set up.
• Assures rooms are prepared with equipment and supplies needed for each day’s schedules.

Establishes and maintains department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Accepts flexibility in duty assignments and schedules. Adheres to department and hospital policies and procedures.
EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
Minimum Experience: 1 year

Pay Range is $30.94 to $40.34 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
