1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Nursing Assessment; Vital Signs; Wound Care; Supplemental Oxygen Therapy; Cardiac Telemetry Monitoring; Cardiac Medication Monitoring and Drip Titrations; NIH Stroke Scale Assessments; ADL’s; Central Line Care and Infection Prevention; Urinary Catheter Care and Infection Prevention; Universal Protocol; Pre-Post Cardiac Catheterization Lab Procedure Monitoring; Pre-Post Operative Procedure Monitoring/Care 2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) Masimo Monitors; Nihon Kohden Monitors; EPIC Charting; Omnicell med cabinets; Baxter pumps 3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation; assessment skills; NIH Stroke Scale; 2 years experience 4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) NIH Stroke Scale certification; ACLS designation; BLS designation 5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) AP/PA On-call possibilities. Never work alone. Weekends are required. 6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) Floating to Medical/Surgical, PCU, Surgical Specialty Unit, or Pediatric Short Stay (adult care only) 7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 8 beds/ 4 bed outpatient bay; expands to 16 additional beds 8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 4:1 ratio 9. Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs 10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. 4 hours with Corporate; (2) 12 hour shifts with RN on the unitEmployer
