Opportunity for ICU nurse with 24 months of experience to work in Arizona. The candidate will have BLS and ACLS. Previous travel experience is preferred. Banner Thunderbird Medical Center has served the Northwest Valley for more than 25 years our unrelenting focus on excellent patient care has helped us become one of the most preferred hospitals in the Valley. The 890,000-square-foot acute-care facility is on 33 acres on the southwest corner of 55th Avenue and Thunderbird Road in Glendale, Arizona. A recently completed $290 million expansion project added a spacious and comfortable main lobby, a patient/family library, a heart and vascular center, state-of-the-art surgical suites and a 200-bed patient tower to the campus. The new tower includes a new Emergency department and all-private rooms. We are proud to announce Banner Thunderbird is now a Level I Adult Trauma Center for patients 15 and older. Designation as an Arizona Level I Trauma Center means Banner Thunderbird can provide total care for every aspect of injury, greatly reducing the need to transfer patients outside the area for life-saving treatment. Examples of injuries a Level I can treat include traumatic car crash injuries, gunshot victims, stab wounds and traumatic brain injuries. POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree preferred. Professional certification preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.Employer
