Job Summary

The Emergency Department (ED) RNs at Hackensack Meridian Health are essential in providing care to patients in critical situations. Responsibilities include:

Caring for patients of all ages in emergency situations.
Handling a variety of trauma cases requiring quick and decisive actions.
Assessing incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions.
Prioritizing injuries and medical needs effectively.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in Emergency Department nursing.
Skills: Strong experience with Stroke, Sepsis, and STEMI patients is required.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, high patient acuity Emergency Department.
- Patient volume can reach up to 220 patients per day.
- Ability to see up to 20 stroke patients per shift.
Float Requirements: Must be able to float within the department, including ED Adult, Peds, and IMC.
