Job Description

As a Cardiovascular Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in a variety of specialized cardiovascular procedures, including but not limited to:

• Diagnostic and interventional catheterization
• Pacemaker/defibrillator implantation
• Intra-aortic balloon pump operation (IABP)
• Electrophysiology studies

• Evaluate and document patient status, responding appropriately to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise and proficiency, exceeding essential job responsibilities.
• Commit to continued learning and knowledge sharing with patients and co-workers.
• Participate in performance improvement activities to evaluate care outcomes.
• Utilize equipment, time, personnel, and supplies effectively to provide high-quality patient care.
• Adapt to changing workloads, patient needs, and policies.
• Provide on-call coverage outside of standard scheduled hours as required.
• Recognize and act upon unusual patient responses to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.
• Independently prioritize clinical and administrative tasks and identify process improvements.

Qualifications

• One year of Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience preferred.
• Experience with special procedures preferred.

Additional Information

• Floating may be required to any CommonSpirit location within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment.
• Float assignments may include duties outside of original job requirements in accordance with policy.
