Job Description
Essential Functions
- Collects and analyzes data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health.
- Identifies expected outcomes and develops individualized care plans.
- Implements care plans and coordinates care delivery.
- Delegates care elements to appropriate healthcare workers.
- Evaluates progress toward goals and outcomes.
- Practices in a culturally competent manner.
- Communicates effectively and collaborates with stakeholders.
- Demonstrates leadership in nursing practice.
- Integrates evidence and research findings into practice.
- Contributes to quality nursing practice and evaluates nursing standards.
- Utilizes resources to provide safe and effective nursing services.
- Practices ethically and promotes shared governance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds.
- Requires intact senses (sight, hearing, smell, touch) and finger dexterity.
- Critical thinking and ability to concentrate are essential.
- Must respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
Additional Information
Skills Required
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status (American Heart Association).
- Current RN license or temporary license in the state of practice.
- For National License Compact (NLC) states, must meet home state licensure requirements.
Oncology Experience
- Proficiency in IV therapy, bone marrow procedures, spinals, thoracenteses, paracenteses, and phlebotomy preferred.
- Oncology certification preferred.
Contract Length
- 180 days
