Job Description

• Provides quality patient care across two or more medical imaging departments.
• Performs high-quality imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Follows radiation safety standards and practices (ALARA).
• Acts as a clinical resource and role model for other technologists.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and provide necessary information.
• Assist and position patients during imaging procedures.
• Monitor patients and equipment, documenting any unusual occurrences.
• Facilitate patient flow and optimal use of resources.
• Perform IV starts and administer contrast as required.
• Maintain equipment and notify service personnel of issues.
• Complete necessary paperwork and input charges for procedures.
• Participate in clinical training and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of imaging experience.
• Ability to float to other locations within a specified distance as needed.
• Flexibility to perform duties outside of original job requirements as per policy.
