Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab is responsible for:

• Evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
• Planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.
• Identifying patient needs and determining priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized plans of care for assigned patients.
• Initiating assessments based on patient problems, physician diagnoses, and functional health frameworks.
• Performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing patient care.
• Documenting care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocating for evidence-based practice care standards and supporting the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
• Providing patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.

Additional Information

• Experience Required: Must have Cath Lab experience and be able to function as an intra-procedural RN responsible for documentation, administration of medications, and circulation of minimally invasive procedures such as LHC and PCI.
• Preferred Skills: Experience with equipment such as IABP, Impella, shockwave, and various atherectomy devices. Vascular and/or neuro diagnostic and intervention experience is preferred.
• On-Call Requirements: Must be willing to cover on-call for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (CCL), with minimal coverage including support for cardiac procedures off hours and on weekends. On-call duty is likely every 5 weeks, requiring 7-day coverage, with nurses breaking down the call over 2 weeks.
