Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide and administer all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services and other supervisory staff.

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide respiratory therapy under medical direction, focusing on the education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies.
2. Assist with intubation and manage ventilator setup.
3. Gather necessary information to evaluate patient needs, including disease education and consultations with other healthcare professionals.
4. Develop rapport with patients/caregivers and team members to foster an optimal environment for achieving goals.
5. Provide and document education to patients/caregivers based on identified needs.
6. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
7. Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
8. Physical requirements include lifting a minimum of 5 lbs., pushing and pulling a minimum of 5 lbs., and standing for a minimum of 1 hour a day.

Contract Length

• 89 days

Knowledge, Education, and Skills Required

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
