Job Description

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing or assisting in ultrasound examinations, providing technical assistance to the Radiologist, and maintaining ultrasound equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound examinations following departmental procedures.
• Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment while ensuring safety precautions.
• Set up, operate, clean, and make minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.
• Ensure adequate supplies are available for procedures.
• Assist in the orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel.
• Capture images onto PACS and transfer them to physicians' workstations.
• Answer telephones, schedule examinations, and may initiate transportation.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
• Experience: 2+ years as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of office and administrative practices.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.

Contract Length
