Job Description
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing or assisting in ultrasound examinations, providing technical assistance to the Radiologist, and maintaining ultrasound equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound examinations following departmental procedures.
- Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment while ensuring safety precautions.
- Set up, operate, clean, and make minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.
- Ensure adequate supplies are available for procedures.
- Assist in the orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel.
- Capture images onto PACS and transfer them to physicians' workstations.
- Answer telephones, schedule examinations, and may initiate transportation.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Experience: 2+ years as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of office and administrative practices.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
Contract Length
- 61 days
