Job Description

The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for:

• Coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care and patient/family education.
• Supporting professional nursing practice across various settings and the continuum of care.
• Planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
• Providing leadership through roles such as preceptor, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts.
• Delegating patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource adequacy.
• Possessing excellent communication skills and mentoring abilities.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program recognized by ACEN or CCNE.
  • If graduated from a non-accredited program, at least one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting within the last 5 years is required.
• Licensure: Current RN license as per state requirements.
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) competency for Arizona and Florida.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate for the Midwest, must not expire within 3 months after the start date.
  • Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Chemo Certified RN: Preferred.
• Experience:

  • 1 year in Hematology Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, or Medical Oncology.
  • 1 year of US travel experience.
  • 2 years of RN experience.

Additional Information

• Contract Length: 287 days.
