General Description

This entry-level position involves working under supervision to achieve competencies in delivering specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and pediatric patients. The role aids medical staff in diagnosing, caring for, treating, and monitoring various conditions and diseases.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care in various settings, including acute inpatient facilities and outpatient practices.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical outcomes and service expectations.
  • Utilize specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure compliance with protocols and standards.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform quality control checks and maintenance on equipment.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology principles, medical imaging, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
  • Strong record-keeping and attention to detail.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress.
  • Understanding of operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Professional communication skills with staff, patients, and families.
  • Initiative and commitment to completing assignments efficiently.
  • Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology related to the specialty.
