Job Summary
This entry-level position involves working under supervision to achieve competencies in delivering specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and pediatric patients. The role aids medical staff in diagnosing, caring for, treating, and monitoring various conditions.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and patient-centric care in various settings, including acute inpatient facilities and outpatient practices.
- Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical outcomes and operational goals.
- Utilize specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment for diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure compliance with protocols and standards.
- Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Perform quality control checks and maintenance on equipment.
- Engage in continuing education and professional development activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology principles, medical imaging, and medical terminology.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
- Strong record-keeping and attention to detail.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress.
- Understanding of operations, policies, and procedures.
- Professional communication skills with staff, patients, and families.
- Initiative and commitment to completing assignments efficiently.
