Position Details

Job Description

Under minimal direction, the Physical Therapist will perform various therapeutic physical therapy treatments as directed by a physician.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Interpret physician orders, evaluate patients, and formulate treatment plans to achieve long and short-term goals.
  • Assess patient responses to treatment and modify plans as necessary.
  • Participate in discharge planning and instruct patients on home programs.
  • Document treatment results and patient responses in medical records.
  • Supervise and assist students during their clinical rotations, depending on clinical experience.
  • Maintain and clean equipment used by the department.

General Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience: None required.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Understanding of physical therapy principles, methods, practices, techniques, equipment, and procedures.
    • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology for patient evaluation and treatment.
    • Ability to adjust equipment to meet patient needs.
    • Strong communication skills to guide patients in their treatment and development.
    • Proficiency in computer use.
