  • Job Summary: The Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist I provides professional care in the SHVI Invasive Cardiac Pediatric and Peripheral Laboratories in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • The Specialist may be required to work at any SHVI location on a temporary operational need or training basis or semi-permanent assignment.
  • The Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the ages developmental stages and special needs of the patients served.
  • Responsible for assisting unit efforts in performance excellence growth quality customer service employee engagement and community benefit.
    Job requirements
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist certification
  • North Carolina state licensure
    Additional Details
  • Physical Requirements: Intermittent to rapid pace with high pressure situations, requiring periods of prolonged concentration and critical thinking.
  • Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
  • Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English.
  • Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, manual dexterity, good eye hand coordination.
  • Standing and walking while wearing 10-20 lbs lead radiation protection aprons.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
  • Potential exposure to radiation, secretions and blood.
