Job Description

• Unit: High-risk Labor & Delivery (L&D) with an average delivery volume of 2100 deliveries per year.
• Patient Management: Managed by OB practices and family practice doctors (private entities).
• Coverage: Level 3 NICU available; must circulate for c-sections.
• Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Previous charge experience required.
  • Must be able to circulate.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: 3 or 4 shifts of 12 hours (7 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: Yes, to Maternity/Mother-Baby

Required Skills and Certifications

• Experience:

  • Must have traveler experience (first-time travelers not accepted).
• Certifications:

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
  • HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
  • State License Verification
  • Additional certifications may be required based on unit needs.

Orientation

• Duration: 24 hours (1 day for healthstream unit assignments, 2 days on unit orientation)

Additional Information

• Scrubs: Any color
• Background Check: Required within 30 days of start, including Social Security Verification and Criminal Background Check.
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start.
  • Annual fit mask test required.
  • Immunization records for Tdap, Flu, and others as specified.

• References: Two current professional references required.
• Employment Application: Required.
• Skills Checklist: Required.
• Education Verification: Required (High School education acceptable for CNAs).

Important Notes

• Travelers who have previously worked at any facility associated with SolutionHealth are not eligible.
• Local travelers (within 50 miles) will receive a rate decrease.
