Employment Details

• Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3 x 12 or 4 x 12 (Day/Night Variable - 50/50 split)
• On Call/Weekend Requirement: No call requirements; weekends included in rotation; holiday coverage expected.
• Float Requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

• Position: 2NW CVICU RN
• Unit Ratio: 1:2
• Total Staffed Beds: 748
• Charting System: Cerner

Requirements

• Licensure: DC RN Licensure (Pending DC license accepted but must have license prior to start date)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in telemetry, vents, and high acuity units required.
  • 1 prior travel assignment completed (first-time travelers will be screened).
  • Pulmonary Artery Line experience preferred.
  • Level 1 trauma and post-op experience preferred.

Additional Information

• Vaccination Requirements:

  • Flu vaccination required.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions may be submitted but are subject to strict approval).
• Health Documents:

  • Annual physical exam stating the candidate is able to perform work without accommodations and is free from communicable diseases.
  • N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually.
  • TB testing and vaccination records required.
• Background Check: Criminal background check required within 90 days of start.
