  • Nights: 1900-0700
  • Days: 0700-1900
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
• Float Requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity

Job Description

• Position: C41 MS/TELE RN
• Responsibilities include providing care in a med/surg and telemetry setting, with experience in accessing ports, pre/post neuro surgery, and managing various medical devices and conditions.

Requirements

• Licensure:

  • DC RN Licensure (pending licensure accepted with proof of submission)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required for RN/LPNs in ED or Pediatrics
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as required by unit
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as required by unit
• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in med/surg, MS/Tele
  • Experience with colostomy care, feeding tube management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, IV therapy, and wound care preferred
  • Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment

Health and Safety Requirements

• Vaccinations:

  • Flu vaccination required

  • Annual physical exam
  • N95 fit test within 9 months of start
  • TB screening (IGRA or PPD)
  • Various immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella)

Background and Reference Checks

• Criminal background check required within 90 days of start
• Two positive supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment

• All travelers must complete facility-specific documents and attestations prior to start.
• A valid driver's license may be required if driving is an essential function of the job.
