Job Description

Position: C61 MED TELE RN
Shift: 4 x 12 N 1900-0730
On Call/Weekend Requirement: No on-call requirement; weekends included in rotation
Float Requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Contract Length

13 weeks

Requirements

Licensure: DC RN Licensure (will accept pending DC RN licensure with proof of submittal - must be in hand at time of contract start)
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - required for RN/LPNs working in ED or Pediatrics
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - as required by unit description
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - as required by unit description
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - required for L&D candidates
- NIH Stroke Certification - required based on unit description
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS Tele, Telemetry, or Cardiac Tele
- Experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias, feeding tube care and management, IV Therapy (including PICC line and peripheral line management & IV Start)
- Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment
Orientation: Must be willing to orient to charge
Vaccination: All travelers must have their flu vaccination

Additional Information

Health Documents:
- Annual physical stating candidate is able to perform work without accommodations and is free from communicable disease
- N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually
- TB testing (IGRA or PPD) required annually
- Vaccination records for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (does not include marijuana)
Background Check: Required within 90 days of start, including criminal background check and education verification
References: Two positive supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment
