Job Description

• Position: CT Tech – 36 hours, Nights
• Unit Name: CT
• Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic CT procedures under the direction of the CT Manager and CT Clinical Lead.
  • Ensure patient safety and provide excellent customer service.
  • Follow established policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience:

  • 1 year of CT experience preferred but not required.
• Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in CT scanning.
  • IV and oral/GI contrast administration.
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
  • EMR documentation capabilities (Epic, Visage).
  • Effective communication and organization skills.
  • Professional and positive demeanor.
• Machines Used: GE CT scanner experience preferred but not required.

Certifications and Licenses

• Required:

  • ARRT (CT)
  • Massachusetts state license in Computed Tomography
• Additional Health Requirements:

  • Completed primary COVID-19 vaccination series or up-to-date COVID vaccine.
  • Documentation of MMR vaccinations or proof of immunity.
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season.
  • TB skin test screening or negative QuantiFERON TB Test.
  • Health statement signed by a medical professional.
  • Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity (preferred).
  • Tdap vaccine (preferred, within 10 years).

Background Checks

• Required:

  • MGB Criminal Background Check.
  • MGB Massachusetts CORI.
  • MGB National Sex Offender Check.
  • MGB Exclusion Checks.
  • SSN Trace.

• References:

  • 2 recent references, including at least 1 supervisor or above.
