Position Details

Unit Information
- Unit Name: Emergency Department
- Unit Description: 65-Bed Emergency Department, pod-based, with separate pediatric pod and separate Acute Mental Health area.
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience.
- Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Patient Population: All
- Census: 230 visits/day
- EMR (Charting System): EPIC – ASAP
- Floating Required: Yes
- Rotating Shifts Required: Yes (Day Rotate: 7a-7p, 11a-11p, & 7p-7a)
Required Skills and Certifications
- General ED Nursing Skills: Assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, Cardiac Monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education.
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP (preferred)
- TNCC (strongly preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Fit Test: N95 fit test required within 365 days of start date and updated annually.
- COVID-19 Vaccine: A completed primary vaccination series required; no exemptions considered.
- MMR Vaccination: Documentation of two measles vaccines, two mumps vaccines, and one rubella vaccine or proof of immunity via blood test.
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15th - April 30th); no exemptions considered.
- TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test screening or negative QuantiFERON TB Test within 3 months of start date.
- Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA required within 365 days of start date.
- Background Checks: Various professional and personal background checks required, including criminal background check and education verification.

- Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city & state.
- References: 2 recent references, minimum 1 Supervisor or Above, in skillset.
- Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for all initial assignments and extensions.
