Job Overview: Registered Nurse
Location: Sumter, South Carolina
Facility: Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work Hours: Options for 48 hours or 36 hours per week.
- Floating Policy: Agency staff may be required to float to other units or campuses as needed, but only to units they are qualified for.
- Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year of EPIC experience.
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for various units including ER, ICU, and Telemetry. Must be AHA or ARC certified.
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for most nursing positions, must be AHA certified.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for Pediatric units and ER.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure): Required for NICU and L&D.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Required for ER and Pediatric ER travelers.
- MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior): Required for ER, Pediatric ER, and Behavioral Health RNs.
- NIH Stroke Certification: Required for various critical care units.
- IV Certification: Required for LPN/LVN candidates.
- Color Blind Testing: Required for nurses in the Emergency Department.
Health Documents Required
- Physical Exam: Must attest to the candidate's ability to meet physical demands.
- TB Testing: True 2-step PPD or equivalent required within 90 days of start.
- Vaccination Records: Documentation for Tetanus, Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella required.
- Drug Testing: 5-panel drug screen required within 1 year of start and updated annually.
- Flu Vaccine Documentation: Required for the flu season.
Background Check
- Criminal Background Check: 7-year check required, must include all aliases.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM Search: Required within 30 days of start for all new assignments.
Additional Information
- Badge Photo: Required for facility identification.
- Online Orientation Modules: Must be completed within 72 hours of assignment.
- Medication and Arrhythmia Tests: Required for all RN candidates in specific units.
