Job Description
- Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in Neuro ICU (strong neuro experience is a must).
- Traveler Experience: First-time travelers accepted.
- Local Candidates: Accepted with rate difference.

- Post Neurosurgery management
- Care of Ventilated Patients
- Isolation Precautions/Use of PPE
- Lumbar Drain experience
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification

Job Details
- Patient Ratios: 2:1 (can flex to 3:1 in high census)
- Average Daily Census: 11-12
- Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call Requirement: None
- Float Requirement: Yes
Patient Diagnoses
- Comprehensive stroke center with a patient population including:
- Ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes
- Subdural hematomas (SDH)
- Craniotomies
- Carotid stents and endarterectomies
- Aneurysm coiling/clipping
- Seizures
- Myasthenia gravis
Special Equipment
- EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM, Arctic Sun
Unit Systems
- Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
Orientation
- Duration: 24 hours (2 days or 2 nights)
Scrubs
- Navy blue & white
Additional Information
- RTO (Request Time Off): 7 days maximum for Aya Auto Offer
- Internal Notes:
- Must pass EKG Testing prior to start
- Strong Neuro Critical Care background required
