Employment Details
- Type: Travel/Contract
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Nights, 3x12s
- Start Date: ASAP (dependent on EPIC experience/training schedule)

- ER Magnet Level II Trauma Center
- Fast-paced emergency department with 65,000 visits annually
- 36 beds including 8 express care beds
- Certified comprehensive stroke center and 24/7 interventional cardiology
- Magnet-designated facility
Requirements
- Licensure: Active VA or Compact License in hand at submission
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a relevant field
Additional Information
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Possible requirement
- Weekends: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (details to be discussed in the interview)
- Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (October 1st - March 31st). Medical or religious exemptions allowed with proper documentation.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Pre-employment Physical: Required within a year of start
- Fit Test: Required within the last 12 months
- TB Testing: Negative PPD, Tspot, or QGold within 1 year of start
- Drug Screening: Negative 11-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
Documentation and Compliance
- Proof of I-9 or Attestation
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Background check and various health documents required prior to start
- Completion of online orientation and various facility-specific documents
Competencies
- Core competencies must be updated annually
- Additional competencies may be required based on specific unit needs
