Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Overview

Job Description

• Shift: 5x8's (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• Call: No call required
• Immediate Need: Candidates willing to commit to a year are preferred.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
• NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board)

Required Skills

• Experience with adult patients in a hospital setting
• Proficiency with equipment from Phillips and Siemens
• Skills in various nuclear medicine procedures, including but not limited to:

  • Gastric Emptying
  • HIDA Scan
  • Muga Scan
  • 3 Phase
  • Whole Body Imaging
  • Cerebral Blood Flow
  • Liver Imaging
  • Renal Perfusion
  • Drawing Venous Blood
  • Isolation Precautions
  • Handling Radioactive Materials

Additional Information

• Scrubs: Navy Blue
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application, with no exceptions.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year prior to start.
• TB Testing: Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 1 year.
• Vaccinations:

  • Annual flu vaccination or declination required.
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination required.
  • Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella vaccinations or proof of immunity required.
• Drug Testing: Negative 7-panel drug test required within 30 days of start.

Background Check

• A 7-year criminal background check is required, including all counties lived and worked.

References

• Clinical candidates must provide 2 professional references from a manager or above, while non-clinical candidates need 1 supervisory reference.
