Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse

Location

Employment Details

Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3 x 12 nights (1900-0700)
On Call/Weekend Requirement: No on call, every other weekend required
Float Requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity

Job Description

The position is for a Registered Nurse in the 4E CDU/TELE unit.

Requirements

Licensure: DC RN Licensure (must have in hand at time of submittal; pending licensure will not be accepted)
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
  - Cerner
  - MS/Tele, Telemetry
  - Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias
  - Feeding tube care and management
  - Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management
  - IV therapy/Phlebotomy
  - Heparin Protocols
  - Surgical drains
  - Nasal Cannula
  - Non-invasive airway management
  - Tracheostomy Management
  - Isolation Precautions
  - Wound Care/Wound Vac
- Charge experience preferred
- Completion of at least 1 travel assignment (first timers will be screened)

Additional Information

Flu Vaccination: Required for all employees
Health Documents:
- Annual physical exam
- N95 Fit Test
- TB testing (IGRA or PPD)
- Vaccinations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap)
- Drug Screen (within 90 days of start)
Background Check: Required within 90 days of start
References: Two positive supervisory references required
