Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location

Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Every other weekend, 1900-0730
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a 29-bed unit specializing in acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability.
- Care for specialty populations including patients with Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant.
Patient Ratios
- General Care: 1:4
- Intermediate Care: 1:2
Requirements
Experience
- Must have at least two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty of Registered Nursing.
- Experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or a similar size hospital is required.
Licensure and Certification
- Must possess a valid Wisconsin nursing license or a compact license from the permanent address state.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Basic Arrhythmia experience is required; candidates must pass a telemetry test prior to starting.
Additional Requirements
- Permanent address must be within 50 miles of the assigned work site.
- Travelers may float to other units based on staffing needs.
Compliance and Documentation
- Background Check: Required within 90 days prior to start.
- Health Documents: Various health documents including TB tests, immunizations, and drug screening are required.
- Certifications: Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and competency exams may be required based on unit description.
