Description
Job Overview: RN Emergency Room
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Facility: Massachusetts General Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham
Employment Type: LTA (Long-Term Assignment)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, Nights, Every other weekend, Holidays
Experience Required: 1+ years travel and level 1 experience
Required Credentials and Certifications
- BLS Certification: AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted. Preferred by Brigham & Women's Faulkner, Cooley Dickinson, Nantucket Cottage hospitals.
- License/Certificate Verification: Primary source verification of professional license and/or certification required within 30 days of start date. MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
- Fit Test: N95 fit test required within 365 days prior to start date and updated annually. No onsite fit testing available.
- MGB Medication Exam: 80% passing score required within 365 days.
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Completed primary series or up-to-date vaccination required. No exemptions considered.
- MMR Vaccination: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine or proof of immunity required.
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30). No exemptions considered.
- TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON TB Test required within 3 months of start date.
- Health Statement: Physician statement required within 365 days of start date.
- MGB Criminal Background Check: Required for onboarding.
- MGB Massachusetts CORI: Criminal history check required within 30 days prior to start date.
- MGB Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
- MGB References: Minimum of 2 recent references, including at least 1 supervisor or above.
- MGB Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
- MGB Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for all initial assignments and extensions.
- Education Verification: Verification of highest level of education achieved required.
- MGB SSN Trace: Required to verify addresses/aliases for the past 7 years.
- MGB National Sex Offender Check: Required within 30 days of start and annually.
- MGB Exclusion Checks: Required to search OIG, GSA, and MassHealth & NH Medicaid exclusion lists.
Additional Information
- Hepatitis B Vaccination: Strongly preferred, but optional.
- Tdap Vaccination: Preferred within 10 years and updated upon expiration.
- TB Symptom Survey: Required if positive PPD, must be completed prior to start and updated annually.
This position requires a comprehensive set of credentials and health documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
