Job Description

The CT Technologist will perform computerized Tomography procedures, including invasive procedures, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and Radiologist. Key responsibilities include:

• Positioning and instructing patients
• Operating specialized equipment (Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner)
• Determining technical factors for exposure
• Ensuring correct marking/labeling of all films
• Providing safe, quality patient care
• Taking call as required

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved AMA school of Radiology
• Registered ARRT
• Knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy
• Two years of diagnostic experience is desirable

Physical Requirements

• Moderate to heavy physical effort required
• Ability to:

  • Lift 40 pounds from floor to wheelchair or waist
  • Move 40 pounds six feet
  • Reach overhead holding 25 pounds
  • Lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed level
  • Pull 40 pounds from stretcher to bed
  • Push a 150-pound loaded stretcher 300 feet
• Good stamina, flexibility, and manual dexterity
• Computer skills required
• Demonstrates accurate judgment and decision-making consistent with radiology knowledge and skills
