Required Certifications

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA or Red Cross preferred)
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA or Red Cross preferred)
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (not required for ICU)
• CNOR - Certified Nurse (OR) (required for RNFA)
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (preferred for ER)
• NIH Stroke Certification - Required for MS/Tele
• Pass/Fail Testing - All RN candidates take tests on their first day of orientation

Health Documents

• Physical Exam - Required within 1 year of start
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray - Required within 1 year of start
• Drug Testing - Negative urine drug screen required within 14 days of start
• Vaccination Records -

  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Dose 1 and 2 if applicable)
  • Tdap vaccine required
  • Flu vaccination documentation required during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)

• Government Issued Photo ID - Required
• Emergency Contact Form - Required prior to start
• References - Documentation of 2 recent work references required
• Background Check - Standard background check required, updated annually
• State License Verification - Proof of current MA RN license required

Notes

• Candidates must be vaccinated annually with up-to-date COVID-19 vaccine doses.
• Exemption forms are available for candidates who cannot receive vaccinations for medical or religious reasons.
• Scrubs are provided for OR; any scrub color is acceptable otherwise.
