Job Description

• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience (dedicated CVICU staff experience)
• Preferred Experience: Level 1 Trauma experience
• Patient Ratios: Targeted patient ratios are 1:2

Important Notes

• First-time travelers are welcome; an Ohio license is not required.
• For 48-hour contracts, overtime is paid out after 48 hours.

Requirements

• Competency Assessments:

  • Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment.
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Skills Required:

  • Ability to read and interpret EKG strips.
  • Experience with A-Lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs.
  • EPIC experience is required.
• Floating and Availability:

  • Travelers will float at Premier's discretion and must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.
  • Must be prepared to float to different campuses within a 15-mile radius.

• Typical Unit Size: 36 beds
• Scrubs: Navy Blue

Additional Information

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Cancellation Policy: Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per contract. They also reserve the right to cancel the agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine.
• Incentives: Travelers are not eligible for Premier Health employee incentives.

Documentation and Compliance

• Required Documents:

  • I-9 and E-Verify Attestation Form
  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver's License/State ID)
  • Proof of name change (if applicable)
  • Residency Declaration Form (if using a Compact Nursing license)
  • Various certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.)
  • Health documents (Physical Exam, TB test, vaccinations)
  • Background check and references

• Health Requirements:

  • Annual health questionnaire
  • Drug testing (including marijuana panel)
  • Flu vaccination documentation

• Verification Requirements:

  • NURSYS verification
  • Education verification (if applicable)
