Description

Job Overview: Registered Nurse

Location: Reidsville, North Carolina
Facility: Annie Penn Hospital, Cone Health MSP
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

  • Position: Registered Nurse in a Medical Overflow Float Pool
  • Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours (Days, 7 AM - 7 PM), Friday to Sunday
  • Patient Ratios: 1:6
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years, with travel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients across all levels of acuity, including ICU and medical-surgical units.
  • Float to other departments or campuses as needed, including the Emergency Department for tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Nurse
    • Travel experience is required
    • Previous charge experience is preferred

Patient Diagnoses

  • Respiratory failure
  • Post-cardiac arrest
  • Severe sepsis
  • Congestive heart failure (CHF)
  • Arrhythmias
  • Seizure epilepsy
  • GI bleed
  • Overdose
  • Post-surgical monitoring
  • Pulmonary emboli
  • Drug overdoses
  • Cardiac arrhythmias

Important Notes

  • Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and aware of the client's zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
  • A Pass/Fail EKG exam is required for all RNs regardless of specialty.
  • Candidates will be interviewed as part of the selection process.

Additional Information

  • Mandatory Questionnaire: Candidates must answer specific questions regarding their submission and compliance readiness.
  • Compliance Deadline: All compliance documents must be completed by 12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date.

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Vaccinations: Proof of Adult Tdap vaccine, COVID-19 vaccination or declination, and flu vaccination documentation are required.
  • Drug Testing: A negative 10-panel drug screen is required within 30 days of the start date.
  • Background Check: A comprehensive background check covering the last 7 years is required.
