Job Description

As a PET/CT Technologist, you will utilize exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and safety. Your role will involve interpreting physician orders and selecting appropriate imaging parameters to produce high-quality PET/CT images, aiding in accurate diagnoses and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and adhering to radiation safety regulations.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment.

Position Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Certifications:

  • CPR certification required.
  • Dual certification as a Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT)).
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine required for non-dual certification roles.
• Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of PET and/or PET/CT imaging experience.
  • Experience in X-ray or CT may be considered for certain candidates.
• Licenses: Valid state driver’s license and state license as applicable.
• Travel: Local travel may be required.
