Description
Job Opportunity: Walk In Clinic Registered Nurse
Location
- City: Aspen, Colorado
- Facility: Aspen Valley Hospital
Employment Details
- Type: Contract
- Contract Length: 8 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Approximately 36-40 hours per week (no downstaffing)
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in an emergency department or urgent care setting
Position Overview
The Walk In Clinic Registered Nurse will:
- Provide professional nursing care in accordance with accepted standards of practice and facility policies
- Collaborate with other clinic staff to deliver clinical care
- Assist with administrative duties under the direction of the Nurse Supervisor, Charge Nurse, and Providers
Additional Information
- Housing: Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing. Housing can be extremely expensive, especially in winter. Common rates are around $3,500/month for a 1-bedroom apartment in Basalt. Consider housing options in surrounding towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs.
- RTO Policy: No formal approval for requests for time off (RTO), but accommodations may be considered.
- Health Requirement: Must be healthy enough to function safely in a low oxygen environment (8,000 feet elevation).
