Job Description
- Department: Emergency Room (ER)
- Schedule: Weekends (Every other weekend required)
- Start Date: 3-4 weeks out
- Experience Required: Minimum of 1.5 years
- First-timers Accepted: Yes
- Floating: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
- Block Schedule: Accommodations depend on the days blocked
- Local Candidates: Not accepted within 50 miles
Certifications Required
- BLS: Basic Life Support
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- TNCC: Trauma Nursing Core Course
- FLU Vaccine: Required
- EPIC Experience: Required
- Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Experience: Required
Additional Requirements
- Pending License Accepted: Yes
- RTO Restrictions: Every other holiday
- Special Requirements:
- No recent Atrium employees (including PRN and internal temp) within the past year
- No recent return travelers that ever lived local
Compliance and Documentation
- Driver’s License/State ID: Must list address greater than 50 miles from facility
- Residency Declaration Form: Required if using a compact license that is not NC
- State License Verification: Must have North Carolina or Compact License
- NURSYS Verification: Required for RNs/LPNs
- Background Check: 7-year comprehensive check required within 45 days of start
- Education Verification: Required for all candidates prior to start
Health Documents
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
- TB Questionnaire: Required for all candidates
- Vaccination Records: Required for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen required within a year of start
- Flu Vaccine Documentation: Required for all candidates during flu season
Competencies
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required for all RNs/LVNs
- Competency Exam: Required for all professions
