Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Overview

Job Description

Position: Cath Lab Tech
Shift: 4x10s (0700-1730)
Call Requirements: Approximately 10 shifts per month, including weekend call. Must be available for at least one winter holiday.

Qualifications

Certifications Required:
- ARRT(R)
- ACLS
- BLS
Experience:
- Strong experience with EP, intervention, and performing STEMI is a hard requirement.
- Required skills include:
  - IR Procedure Experience (stents, angioplasty, thoracentesis, hemodynamic monitoring)
  - EP procedure experience (insertion/programming of AICDs, Pacemaker insertion)
- Preferred skills include:
  - Ablations, peripherals, upper and lower extremity procedures
  - Arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, conduction studies, electrophysiology evaluation, left atrial appendage (LAA) closure.

First Timers Accepted: Yes
Local Candidates: Accepted (with a discount for Indiana residents)
Pending State License: Accepted if applied for.
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours in one workweek (8 and 10 hr. shifts) or 36-48 hours in one workweek (12 hr. shifts).

Health Requirements

Physical Exam: Required within 12 months of start date.
Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen required within 12 months.
Vaccinations:
- Flu vaccination documentation required for flu season.
- Proof of immunity or vaccinations for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella.

Competencies

Medication Test/Pharmacology exam (not required for Techs or RRTs)
Unit competency exam required.
