Description

Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (Travel)

Position Details

  • Specialty: Physical Therapy (PT)
  • Location: Del Sol Medical Center, El Paso, Texas
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Call Requirements: No call required; occasional weekends as needed

Facility Information

  • Hospital System: HCA Healthcare (Parent)
  • Unit Type: Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital
  • Number of Beds: 41 private rooms
  • Staffing:
    • 6 full-time PTs
    • 1 part-time PT
    • 2 full-time PTAs
    • 9 PRN PTs
    • 4 PRN PTs
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4-6 (5-6 treatment hours/day)
  • Equipment Used: Vector, Sarah lift, hoyer lift, BITS, L300, lite gait, standing frame, ambulation devices, various wheelchair sizes, training stairs/curb, car transfer simulator, hi-low therapy mats
  • EMR System: Meditech

Qualifications

Required:

  • Texas PT License
  • Current BLS Certification

Preferred:

  • Bilingual
  • Experience with CARE TOOL scoring in an inpatient rehab setting
  • Experience treating patients with neurological disorders

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat all patients admitted to the inpatient rehab facility
  • Gait training
  • Transfer training
  • Family training
  • Attendance at interdisciplinary morning huddles and team conferences
