Job Description
The Interventional Technologist is responsible for performing vascular interventional radiology procedures and other specialized radiographic and cardiac catheterization procedures in both radiology and cardiology specialized areas.
Minimum Requirements
- Current Massachusetts licensure required
- A.R.R.T. registration required; advanced certification in Vascular Interventional (VI) or Cardiac Interventional (CI) preferred
- 3-5 years of radiologic experience required; experience in special procedures, interventional radiology, radiographic imaging, cardiac catheterization lab, or as a registered cardiovascular invasive specialist (RCIS) preferred
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification required
Work Schedule
- Call can be Monday-Friday until 8 PM
- No weekends or overnights
Credentialing Requirements
Required for Onboarding
- MGB Badge Photo: Submit a color photo taken in the past 6 months.
- BLS Certification: Current certification from AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military.
- ACLS Certification: Current certification from AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military.
- License/Certificate Verification: Primary source verification of professional license and/or certification.
- Fit Test: N95 fit test completed within 365 days of start date.
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Completed primary vaccination series or up-to-date COVID vaccine.
- MMR Vaccination: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine or proof of immunity.
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30).
- TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test screening or negative QuantiFERON TB Test within 3 months of start date.
- Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date.
- MGB Criminal Background Check: Required for submission.
- MGB Massachusetts CORI: Required for submission.
- MGB Resume: Include past 7 years of work experience.
- MGB References: 2 recent references, minimum 1 Supervisor or Above.
- MGB Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
- MGB Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for all initial assignments and extensions.
- Education Verification: Verification of highest level of education achieved.
- MGB SSN Trace: Required for submission.
- MGB National Sex Offender Check: Required for submission.
- MGB Exclusion Checks: Required for submission.
Optional Requirements
- Hepatitis B: Record of 3 vaccines or proof of immunity.
- Tdap: Vaccine within 10 years and updated upon expiration.
- MGB TB Symptom Survey: Required if positive PPD.
